Being Organic in EU is promoting the workshop titled “Italy Today and Tomorrow: The Social and Economic Role of Organic Products in Modern Distribution.” During the event, data on the category for the Italian and European markets will be presented, the development potential of organic products in modern distribution will be analyzed, and the possibilities of the distributor’s organic brand as a growth lever in the Italian market and for supply chain projects will be discussed.
The aim of the conference is to frame the social role and value of Organic products in Modern Distribution for families, the agri-food supply chain, and the national system in the new reference context. Data and market analysis will be presented to define the context within which organic operators operate, and concrete cases and virtuous projects of organic and sustainable agri-food supply chains will be compared.
